About Us

The  NYS City Court Judges Association is an organization of approximately 80 sitting and retired city court judges. City court judges comprise approximately 15% of all sitting judges in the state of NY.

Tracking Legislation:
The Association tracks legislation at the state level and works with the Office of Court Administration Committee on City

Courts to draft legislation in order to improve the administration of justice in City Courts throughout New York State.

Liason with Government Agencies & Bar Associations:
The  NYS City Court Judges Association works with state agencies, local and state bar associations to improve court efficiency and increase communication on issues of mutual concern.

Annual Association Meeting:
The NYS City Court Judges Association provides an opportunity to learn and share experiences with fellow judges. The comraderie and recreational activites provided for the judges and their families make the annual meeting a much anticpated event for participants each year.

The 2012 meeting will be held at the historic Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs, NY from Sunday, September 30, 2012 through Tuesday, October 2, 2012. In addition to the Annual Meeting there will be a Judicial Ethics CLE and a number of recreational activities including golf.

A benefit of being a member of the  NYS City Court Judges Association, is that OCA will reimburse members who attend our annual meeting for their mileage and the cost of two days’ meals and lodging.
